In The Light of Truth

Reading the study notes, the Holy Spirit confronted me with a sharp question: Who do you want as king over your life—yourself, or Jesus? Simultaneously, my mom sent me a reel where someone was basically saying that they didn't want to get to heaven and have Jesus show them the life they COULD have had if they had followed His plan" Talk about a wake-up call!

There is a fierce battle taking place within us—a continual conflict between the flesh and the Spirit. When we drift from the presence of God or grow complacent in our walk with Him, one voice inevitably begins to drown out the other.

Pride is one of the most subtle and dangerous sins addressed in Scripture—often unnoticed, yet deeply destructive. It elevates self above God, placing confidence in our own abilities, achievements, and understanding rather than in the Lord. The Bible warns us clearly of its consequences, reminding us in Proverbs 16:18 that “Pride goes before destruction.”

Trusting God is deeply connected to depending on Him—but for many of us, trust is where the real struggle begins. When Jesus says His yoke is easy and His burden is light, it is absolutely true. We fight against it, thinking it will restrict us—but it does the opposite. It brings freedom.
